5 Ingredient Healthy Recipes

I come from a generation that didn’t have home ec. We want instant gratification and little time or patience to let something cook for longer than 25 minutes. I also was raised to be health conscious. Fried chicken was never on the menu and white bread was banned in 1994 at my home.

My mom first taught me how make stir fry. Easy enough, I thought I was a pro at combining frozen vegetables and soy sauce. Fifteen years later, I’m still making that same token stir fry (but with a lot less soy sauce).

Over the years, I’ve put together some great “recipes.” I would never call myself a chef but I’m pretty darn good at putting things together quick for a healthy and filling meal. Here are a few of my favorite recipes:
